Today our team building activity asked the students to line up in alphabetical order by first name, without talking. That's right, they had to do this task without talking or even mouthing letters (I told them to pretend their lips were sealed). As the activity unfolded, leaders emerged and they gently guided their classmates into their places. Other students communicated by making letters with their fingers or "drawing" a letter in the air. The ABC order activity is also going to help us put together or classroom dictionary on Friday (check back to see the results). Every student will be an entry in our dictionary. How would you "define" yourself?
Follow our class throughout the year. See what we're learning and doing in our classroom daily.
