Day One

Today was a great first day in Room 5. We spent quite a bit of time getting to know each other and working through the daily routine. During our reading workshop we read aloud and discussed Chrysanthemum by Kevin Henkes. As part of our reading we did an activity that showed the importance of being nice to each other because hurtful words leave a "wrinkle" no matter how hard you try to smooth them out. All in all it was a wonderful first day. Hopefully there are many more wonderful days to come!
